Edmund's appearance is a striking mix of genes from his strong Spanish father and all too Californian mother. Even at a very young age he seemed destined to grow up tall, dark, and handsome. Now in the full bloom of adulthood, Ed's playful smokey grey eyes peek out from a veil of rebellious dark hair and his skin appears constantly warmed by a boyishly handsome tan. Ed is a man who'd look as confident sipping martinis at a formal Star Fleet affair as he would arm wrestling ruffians in some frowzy bar in the middle of no where.

Recent tragic events have left Ed with a nose that is bumped at it's bridge and slightly wider than one would expect on such a sculpted face. If one looked closely, they'd note he tends to lean to the right with a subtle limp. This lends an air of subtle brutality to his delicate features. It eventually become painfully obvious to the astute observer that he takes an extreme amount of pride in how he looks and acts in front of others.

Personality:

Ed is egotistical and shallow. He's the sort of man who's fun to have around, but not fun to rely on. Life has taught him that others always disappoint him and there isn't really a use for close relationships and personal bonds. Ironically enough, he likes to impress people by being charming, witty, and dazzling.

History:

Ed grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. His mother made a fortune in mining consultation and provided for her family lavishly. As a boy Ed spent much of his time playing with Admiral's children, socialite's daughters, and learning about the universe in a way only affluence could let a kid. There were no checkpoints for his ego and he grew up knowing nothing of his own mortality or short-comings.

In University he studied business and social sciences, readying himself for a place at his mother's side. Although he never was very good academically, he got by with getting others to do his homework and take the tests for him. Even with all that effort, he never made it to graduation.

For the past several years he's been on a ship filled with a wide array of society's castoffs. A small collection of humans and aliens raiding ships unable to defend themselves for supplies and money. He doesn't remember how he ended up there or his past life. It were as if he were born on the Hammerside, a full grown man.

However, the Captain of the Hammerside remembers how Ed got on board. Her ship had attacked his parent's private vessel. It was a botched mess straight from the start. Itchy trigger fingers had got the best of her Second, something not uncommon among her blood-thirsty crew, and he'd taken out half the ship instead of just disarming it. When her party boarded in search of unscorched goods, she found Ed bloodied and bruised trying to resuscitate his mother although it was obvious she had died from the attack. In a moment of weakness, the Captain took him as a captive instead of killing him.

For the past 7 years Ed's been working as a raider, learning how to bypass security systems, fake access codes, intimidate civilians and charm his way out of tight situations. He occasionally remembers details of his past, but his instincts tell him not to remember too much. It was all about survival.

Ed's shadowy past means he is constantly using aliases to travel and is currently on the Starfarer as 'Greg Duncan' a Marine Infantryman just hitching a ride home after his last round of duty. Ed was anxious to make his way back to the Hammerside after a quick but dirty mission. He carried information the Captain had said she was in desperate need of, but ironically enough he never made it home yet again.

Criminal Record:

Ed is wanted for questioning in several cases, ranging from sabotage, kidnap, smuggling, piracy, torture & manslaughter. There is no official warrant out for his arrest as the Federation has yet to claim him dead or confirm him alive. He is considered dangerous and not to be approached by civilians or unarmed personnel.
