Terra News Network , usually referred to by its initials TNN, is a major Federation English language television network founded in 2250 by Ted Turner IV. The network is now owned by Merck Takeda and the news network is a division of the Bradbury Broadcasting System. TNN was the first station to provide 24-hour television news coverage in the Sol System. Since merging with BBC News, the number of employed news journalists and worldwide news bureaus makes it the largest and most widespread in the Sol system with affiliates reaching the borders of Federation space.
While the news network has numerous affiliates, TNN primarily broadcasts from its headquarters at the TNN Center in Johannesburg, the Time Warner Center in New York City, and studios in Cardiff. The network is available in 30 billion households and more 2.8 million hotels Sol-wide. TNN airs through TNN Intergalactic and has combined branded networks and services that are available to more than 450 trillion people in hundreds of solar systems and territories.
