Personality:

Tristin at first glance is usually depicted as a typical spoiled, rebellious teenager. This is true for the most part, he has trouble doing what he is told and is usually knee deep in some sort of trouble. He is often rude to people that command him around but when his friends are in trouble or someone is being hurt for no reason he will step in. He is a big believer in what it right and wrong and will argue his opinion until the very end, even with a Starfleet Admiral but he's not always right.

History:

Tristin was born on a small farming colony dear the edge of federation space. As a child he was quite outspoken and often picked on by the older children. He had two sisters who looked out for him and an older brother. Tristin adored his older brother Seth but Seth never had the time of day for him. Seth was the pride of the family, baseball team's captain, school captain, farmer of the year, student of the year and the list goes on. Seth's dream was to be a starship captain so it was Tristins dream as well for a long time.

At the age of ten though Tristin began to live his own life and developed his own dreams when he met Silvia, a pretty yellow haired girl his age, of course they hated each other and fought when they were in each others presence but they were always together. But on Tristin's 14 birthday disaster struck. The colony always knew the dangers of living in deep space but the elder's didn't want a Starfleet presence on the planet and decided to govern themselves. But they were ill equipped when a band of Klingon raiders attacked the colony.

Tristin lost his Brother Seth who was shipping out to the academy in two weeks time, along with his sisters. His sisters lost their lives during the initial bombing from orbit. Seth and Tristin were among a few who took up arms to fight but when they faced the Klingons, Tristin was easily overpowered but when the Klingon went to land the final blow Seth jumped in front of him and the D'k tahg pierced Seth's heart killing him within moments and the Klingons left laughing at the unhonourable kid lying on the ground covered in his brothers blood. After the raid half of the colony's population had been killed including Tristin's dad who was one of the last victims. Silvia survived but to Tristins dismay she left the colony along with her mother without saying goodbye. Tristin vowed to never let anyone look out for him again and to become strong.

Tristin was sent to live with his uncle after a year, his mother could not handle his behaviour and her continuing grief. His uncle taught him how to shoot and fight and Tristin became very efficient using a plasma pistol. Three years later his uncle died from a heart attack and he went back to his mother. She was ashamed that he had learned how to kill and she packed him for Starfleet. She enlisted him in marine trails and sent him off to earth to take the test.
